Spam auf all-inkl E-Mail Accounts loswerden

Man kann sich noch so sehr Mühe geben, irgendwann wird auch die best behütetste E-Mail Adresse gnadenlos Opfer von Spammern. Wer seine Mails mit Outlook und Co abfragt, kann in der Regel mit einigermaßen wirksamen Tools einen Großteil dieses Datenmülls abfangen, bevor man dazwischen die wichtigen Dinge des Lebens (egal ob Mail von Tante Trude oder die Rechnung von der Telekom) mit dem Geigerzähler suchen muß.

Ganz besonders deutlich ist mir das mit den Mail-Accounts all meiner Domains bei all-inkl aufgefallen. Ich habe also ein wenig gegoogelt und stellte fest, daß sich viele Leute in den einschlägigen Foren über hoffnungslos viel Spam auf Mailkonten von all-inkl beklagten. In allen Fällen waren immer nach einger Zeit plötzlich Unmengen von Spam eingegangen. Ich kann mich da sogar noch glücklich schätzen, daß ich pro Tag und pro Account “nur” etwa 200-300 Spammails erhalten habe.

Was mich allerdings stutzig werden lies, waren Berichte von vielen anderen all-inkl Kunden, die auch meine Beobachtung unterstützten: Betroffen waren immer auch Adressen, die überhaupt nicht eingesetzt wurden! Ich muß ja beruflich bedingt viele E-Mail Newsletter abonnieren und legte dafür immer ein dediziertes Postfach bei all-inkl an. Manche dieser Postfächer, deren Alias zum Teil auch kryptisiert angelegt waren, wurden aber nicht eingesetzt und trotzdem traf nach einiger Zeit tonnenweise Spam ein. Seltsam, nicht? -In den Foren wird daher recht offenherzig diskutiert, ob nicht eventuell all-inkl providerseitig die Tore aufmacht und Postfächer in den kleinen Paketen mit Spam zuschütten läßt, damit diese Kunden den optionalen Spamschutz buchen. Wenn da was dran wäre, müßte man all-inkl als unseriösen Provider bezeichnen.

Ich habe daher mal einen Test gemacht und eine Yahoo-Adresse in einigen all-inkl Postfächern als Kopieempfänger eingetragen. Das Ergebnis war äußerst aufschlußreich: Vom einen auf den anderen Tag kam plötzlich NULL Spam mehr auf diesen Postfächern an! Heißt: Weder im Weiterleitungsziel (Yahoo Postfach), noch in dem ursprünglichen all-inkl Postfach! Na, das muß mir jetzt mal jemand erklären dachte ich und hab genau dies dem Support geschrieben. Die Antwort kam wie immer innerhalbt weniger Minuten:

bei Emailweiterleitungen bzw. Kopieempfängern ist automatisch Greylisting aktiv. Damit soll verhindert werden, dass damit zu viele Spammails an andere Server weitergeleitet werden und dadurch unsere Server in Spamlisten kommen. Da Greylisting ein Annahmefilter ist, gilt dieser in dem Fall auch für das Postfach für das der Kopieempfänger angelegt ist.

Hm, und das heißt? -Sinngemäß: All-inkl hat eine Notbremse, die sie dann ziehen, wenn deren Server Gefahr laufen, woanders geblacklisted zu werden oder schlicht zu glühen. Denn, man rechne sich mal aus, wenn das jeder machte. All-inkl zahlt ja auch für Bandbreiten und Traffic. Schade nur, daß sie uns Kunden glauben machen wollen, daß wir ohne deren Spamfilter nicht mehr leben können. Aber gut, das ist eben Marketing…

Bisher habe ich noch keine E-Mail vermißt (Stichwort False Positives), daher kann ich das zur Nachahmung nur dringend empfehlen:

In den KASserver einloggen
E-Mail > E-Mail Postfach, dort die betreffende E-Mail Adresse bearbeiten
Unter “Kopieempfänger” die Freemailer-Adresse eintragen, auf die weitergeleitet werden soll
Freemailer-Spamfilter besonders in der Anfangsphase täglich kontrollieren und ab und an sich selbst Testmails von anderen Adressen schicken, um Zuverlässigkeit der Weiterleitung sicherzustellen.

Obwohl für mich all-inkl zweifelsohne zu den besten Providern in Deutschland gehört und ich daher all-inkl jedem empfehle, der mich nach günstigem aber trotzdem performanten Webspace mit Datenbank und Co fragt, bleibt ein seltsamer Beigeschmack bezüglich des Umgangs mit Spam.

Wegwerfadresse mit Yahoo Mail

Ich mache keinen Hehl daraus, daß mir immer mehr Gründe einfallen, weshalb ich Yahoo ganz klar Google vorzuziehen hätte. Einer davon liegt -schon wieder- bei Yahoo Mail. Dort kann man sich Wegwerfadressen anlegen, die einem in sein normales Yahoo-Postfach zugestellt werden. Auf Wunsch sortiert Yahoo die Mails der jeweiligen Wegwerfadressen in eigene Ordner ein. Natürlich wird auch der Spamfilter auf Wegwerfadressen angewendet. Logisch, denn eine E-Mail Adresse wird ja meist erst dann zur Wegwerfadresse, wenn sich regelmäßig Tonnen von Spam darauf einfinden.

So geht’s:

Wer noch kein Yahoo-Account hat, besorge sich eines. Auf @yahoo gibt es eine lange Liste Endungen zur Auswahl. Wer stylisher und 2nulliger unterwegs sein möchte -oder wer seinen Alias mit dem bisherigen @yahoo.??? nicht mehr bekommen hat-, dem sei geraten, sich jetzt bei Yahoo seinen Alias mit @ymail.com zu sichern. Sprachlich ist diese Domain zwar nicht ganz so geschickt wie gmail, aber sei’s drum. (“Y mail? -I just give you a call!”)
Im “neuen” YahooMail Kontrollzentrum ist das Feature Wegwerfadressen noch nicht implementiert, man muß also oben rechts in die Classic-Version wechseln.
Unter Optionen > Mail findet man schließlich den Wizard für die Erstellung der Wegwerfadressen.
Im Schritt 1 wählt man einen neuen Alias, der nichts mit der eigenen Yahoo-ID zu tun hat. Beispiel: Bienemaja.
Schritt 2: An Bienemaja kommt jetzt noch ein Zusatzwort dran. Also: Wegwerfalias-Zusatzwort@yahoo.com ergibt dann unsere Wegwerfadresse. Das Zusatzwort kann sinnvoller Weise den Verwendungszweck der Adresse bezeichnen. So weiß man später genau, wo man diese Wegwerfadresse eingesetzt hat. Beispiel: bienemaja-buntebildchen@yahoo.com.
Als letzen Schritt kann ich nun entscheiden, ob die Mails in meinen Posteingang oder einen besonderen Ordner zugestellt werden sollen. Außerdem kann man sie farblich markieren. Nice! Optional kann man noch Filter einrichten oder SpamGuard ausschalten. Endgültig interessant werden dürfte die Yahoo Wegwerfadresse dadurch, daß man bei Bedarf auch von ihr Mails versenden kann.

Was tut denn nun der Traumdieb damit? -Nun, dadurch, daß ich beruflich bedingt einen brutale Menge E-Mail Newsletter abonnieren, analysieren und wieder abbestellen muß, ist der Bedarf an frischen, unbenutzten E-Mail-Adressen, auf die garantiert noch nichts anderes angemeldet wurde, höher als beim Durschnittsmenschen. Aber: Wer gerne Newsletter per E-Mail bekommt oder sich für einen Freebie-Zugang schnell per E-Mail anmelden muß, der kann sich mit den Yahoo-Wegwerfadressen bequem eine übersichtliche und verwaltungstechnisch beherrschbare Ordnung einrichten, die es ihm und ihr erlaubt,

jeden Newsletter in einen separaten Ordner laufen zu lassen,
anonyme Abos ohne Bezug auf die private E-Mail Adresse zu bestellen,
dennoch alles unter nur einer Adresse zu lesen und zu verwalten,
die unendlichen Speicherplatz bietet und von überall erreichbar ist,
und die Wegwerfadressen ganz einfach zu löschen, wenn man sie nicht mehr braucht oder will.

Vorbei sind also die Zeiten, wo man sich auf seinen privaten Webspace 27 verschiedene Accounts angelegt hat, die dann alle im Outlook eingebunden werden wollten. Noch dazu muß man sich auch nie wieder von E-Mail Newslettern abmelden, man löscht einfach die Adresse und läßt die Mails bouncen. -Ich bin überzeugt, einmal mehr von Yahoo.

Eigentlich wollte ich ja hier auf meinem ollen, betagten MovableType-System gar nichts mehr bloggen, sondern erst wieder dann, wenn ich in ein paar Tagen Wochen (Monaten?) auf WordPress geswapped bin.
Aber meine gerade eben vorgenommene Anmeldung bei YahooMail hat mich hier nicht mehr ruhig sitzen lassen. Man stelle sich vor: Der Account ist keine 2 min alt, und au?er meiner Postleitzahl (die auch die von Timbuktu h?tte sein k?nnen, solange sie echt ist), des Geschlechtes und meines Geburtsdatums wissen die nix von mir. Nix!
Und was blendet mir das angeblich mit Behavioural Targeting hinterlegte Ad-Netzwerk von Yahoo als allererstes in gro?en Flash-Skyscrapern an? -Haarwuchsmittel. Von Schwarzkopf. Weil jedes Haar z?hlt und der Albtraum beginnt. Danke Yahoo, ich bin 30, bitte helfen Sie mir ?ber die Stra?e.

W?lze mich gerade durch innumerable B?cher zum Thema Medien, Society und Web. Dabei stie? ich auf einen Beitrag eines gewissen Ted Greenwald, der 1999 eine ‘Multimedia Timeline’ aufgeschrieben hat. Er f?ngt bei Gutenberg in 1436 an (multimedia???), vergi?t auch nicht die U-Matic Videocassette von Sony in 1969, erw?hnt den Mediaplayer von Microsoft in 1998 und kommt dann auch noch auf mp3 im Jahre 1999 zu sprechen. Den absoluten Vogel schie?t er dann mit seinen “speculative scenarios for the future” ab. Nicht nur, da? er falsch liegt mit der ?bernahme von Turner Media durch Yahoo im Jahre 2015 (dies hat AOL schon durch den Kauf von TimeWarner vor 4 Jahren besorgt). Hier ein kleiner Auszug f?r dieses Jahr:

A nice ‘hello’ to everybody! I felt it was time to calm down and erase rising rumors that I finally died of my Internet addiction after giving up my broadband connection in Maastricht. But nooo, I am still alive. Nevertheless, I think there is one thing worse than no Internet at all, which is slow Internet. Really, trust me, I would rather start writing letters again by hand than having to cope with a 56k dial-up connection for the rest of my life! Insiders already know that DSL is the only reason why I would visit Kai and Thomas or Alice’s parents regularly lately… Enough of that bullshit, let’s get serious. Since I started living with my parents again, I am basically jumping over boxes all day. If there is one thing I absolutely did not do in the past week, then it is sorting out, unpacking and re-arranging the stuff inside those boxes. It’s terrible! I am afraid of having to start all over with my stuff, having to take everything in my hands again. I’d rather wish to simply grab the boxes as they are and unpack them in Bamberg. Besides enjoying the benefits of ‘Hotel Mama’ I havn’t done anything of particular importance. As I said, I see friends quite often and pretend that I am living here. Friday I went to Bonn, where Alice is doing her internship with T-Com. Yesterday we went to Gregor’s and Roland’s b-day party. And today we played badminton. WOW! No really, at least I got myself to keep up the will to do sports and workout. It seems it is time to get a new agenda, new tasks and a timetable, cause I began to vagabond around and get sick of my long long holidays. By the way, I uploaded new photos to my Yahoo-album, showing shockingly nasty moments of wasted youth!

here at my parent’s place one gets the idea of the concept of ‘la dolce vita’. being here for a week now, i have already had my first sunburn due to the incredible weather, have partied to my complete satisfaction, have made a couple of warm-up bike rides to actually prepare my physics for some more action in the coming weeks, have enjoyed ‘hotel mama’ to the max and with that the wide array of home-shopping possibilities, have had decent beer and ?ppelwoi (something i really miss in maastricht; not so much the ?ppelwoi but rather the beer because i am now ready to state that dutch beer sucks completely – with one exception, grolsch!), and simply could relax bigtime here. nevertheless, i am up quite early, do lots of things that i couldn’t do during the last months (for example awarding the car the looks it deserves, that is, getting the alloys mounted…), and in essence use my time for something reasonable or even tangible. well well, as nice as life in maastricht can be, i don’t think i will ever feel that accustomed and settled there as i feel here as soon as i drop my luggage. mybe it’s only the fact that i am still living in this shitty studenthouse with no garden, no neighborhood and nothing around you get completely comfortable with. on the other hand, i asked my sister whether she would miss here dirty studenthouse and ass-monkey neighbors since she is moving to a new, own appartment next weekend. she immediately replied “not at all”. see, i am not the only one…. — last weekend it was party at lena’s place where she and katrin celebrated her birthday. they live on the 4th floor (stairs in the entrance not counted) in giessen inner-city. we had a grand time there! maybe we enjoyed too much “lady’s beer” (beck’s gold) and other beverages as our headaches next day revealed. nevertheless we were still able to call ourselves a cab taking us to thomas’ and kai’s place sometime in the morning to get some sleep. not bad at all. you can view the pictures here (in the ‘lena’s & katrin’s party’ folder). — tonight we are probably heading to the ultimate “tia maria revival party” – the discothek we used to go to when we were 15 and proud as hell to manage to get in there without showing our id… damn, that’s already 10 years ago! hell, where did time go? -anyways, shitty as the place is, i expect to meet a whole bunch of people there i haven’t met for ages. on the other hand, it’s karfreitag tomorrow meaning that dancing will be prohibited from midnight onwards. i don’t get any of this old-fashioned crap. but as long as religion plays a role in our legislation, i expect this to go on. what would the world look like if we removed all this church-stuff from public life? -i tell you, in the first couple of years one would miss the regular christian holidays, but after that i see a rosy future. just think about the economic costs of all these holidays… but enough of that. anyways, i still have a lot of people to meet in the remaining days, and i am looking forward to it. — tomorrow, we managed to plan and organize this season’s first bbq on lena’s terrace. despite “good friday” we will mainly roast pork – as i mentioned above, we don’t give a fiddler’s fart, just like good “schwazzkittel” do. on tuesday i will be back in maastricht, go to mercedes for the last time to hand in my access card and fetch my coffee cup. but before, i will enjoy easter…. with lots of eggs and chocolate bunnies!

greetings from the island! i had originally planned to fly over to dublin on friday. but after checking for flights with ryanair, i found that i had already waited for too long, since what i had to read there was everything else but ‘low fares’. i finally chose for aer lingus, the other irish flag-carrier, since they were cheaper than ryanair and even flying from frankfurt/main. should they continue with their 40 euro flights for inner-european destinations, i would defininately prefer their service over ryanair. let’s be honest: we don’t wanna pay for a bad meal, but if plenty of coffee, tea or water, coming with sandwiches of acceptable taste and cookies are included, i DO appreaciate that! anyways, since the plane for friday was full already, i simply booked for thursday and decided not to tell alice about that. i started heavy and serious collaboration with constance, alice’s landlady, who then picked me up at the airport and took me home, where i found alice doing her laundry in the kitchen as i stepped in. well, she has reported that on her website as well, so i leave it to her telling how terribly surprised she was. — we met with ricarda (ex x-change from germany) and her 100% dubliner boyfriend gordon on the weekend as we went for the movies, but ended up behind guinness and cider, since everything of interest was sold out. gordon then took us to a totally amazing bar carrying a gaelic name i cannot reproduce here, but being pronounced “miss you” – but then with dublin accent and spoken fast. make sure you go there once when in dublin! — yesterday we went to a gaelic football match. alice was faster than me presenting her report on her blog already yesterday night, so go there for details on frozen feet, hot tea and new impressions. — we have just received the reservation receipt from budget for our rental car which will take us around the island in the upcoming three days. we will leave for glendalough, kilkenny, the cliffs of moher, and finally galway. we will keep you posted after we are safely back in dublin, since bad weather is being forecasted :(. — have a look at the picture at the beginning of this entry. the people of ireland are currently demonstrating against the us troop movements since the shannon area is heavily involved. it seems like everybody is against bush, but the irish government doesn’t seem to listen to its people or voters i should better be saying. as constance puts it, “the bloody government is simply ass-kissing with these cowboys, obviously because of economic motives. nobody wants this war-thing here – but everybody’s ape-shitting because of this cowboy.” – way too cool to listen to, i tell ye! — till next time folx, take a look at the photos alice has put up in the february album! take care!

My valued site visitors! I am really sorry for not being able to report some amazingly interesting stories or exiting summer experiences again, but life is simply extremly boring these days! One could almost feel depressed sitting here in Maastricht in the airconditioned CAC building while the weather is rather indecisive or inconclusive on the outside. In the morning, it looks like it was fall already: If I can see the church on the Emmaplein faintly, it must be either the fog or my tired eyes. — Nevertheless, I enjoy reading Shorty’s latest news from Dubai, where he is really living grand, as he does not fail to pronounce and emphasize in every single mail he sends to his homestaying friends. I admit that I envy this great time and experience no one will ever be able to take away from him. If I had a gold-shitting donkey in my garden, be sure that I would contact the next travelling agency for a flight to Dubai! — What else? -I am still quite busy with my current webprojects, and I finally put the new website of our virtual reunion GPW Abi 97 online. The galleries are still missing, but at least this thing is online! Secondly, I launched the second beta for mein-burgsolms.de, which will go online soon. (Here ‘soon’ stands for a time period no longer than a month from now.) It is really amazing and incredibly interesting to see how much dialect material my grandmother has collected in the past 15 years. If you have any picture from the amount of text I have to put in typed format, you understand why this is taking so long. Nevertheless, I already worked on the meta-tags and search engine entries to give this site a good start when I finally launch it. — That’s it for today, I get back to work now, which means that I continue sitting here and staring into my 19″ Eizo waiting for the next patient to ask for council ;)
